Shirley J. Bailey, 87, a resident of Greenfield passed away on Tuesday Aug. 7, 2012, at Golden Living Center, Brandywine. She was born on April 21, 1925, in Byesville, OH to the late Orr & Mildred (Potts) Lutz.
She was a homemaker, local poet, antiques dealer and member of the Poetry Society of Hancock County. She worked for Haag Drug Store with her husband as a cosmetologist.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Dee) Bailey, Jr., Randy (Becky) Bailey both of Greenfield; daughter, Rebecca Jane Bailey of Dayton, OH; sisters, Joan Ream of Greenfield, Martha Miskell of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Justin Bailey of Indianapolis, Thomas (Erica) Bailey of Greenfield, Anne Lonchar, Amber Voight, Amy Byrum all of Dayton, OH; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Bailey, Sr.; brother, Bobby Lutz; and sister, Phyllis Barker.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery.
