Ruth (Tague) Long, 90, passed away on July 30, 2012 in South Florida. She was born on Nov. 28, 1921, in Hancock County to the late Clarence and Luella (Simmons) Allender.

Ruth graduated from Charlottesville School and married Marion H Tague. They lived in the Greenfield area until work took them to Greencastle, in 1955. While in Greencastle, Ruth married Lewis Long.

In the early 1980s, after her retirement from the Indiana State Farm, Putnamville, Ind., Ruth moved to Pompano Beach, Fla. to be near her family, where she lived until her death. Ruth was a Member of the Greenfield Christian Church, the Greencastle Christian Church, and most recently the Trinity United Methodist Church Lighthouse Point, Fla. Ruth was also a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Cloverdale Chapter 36.

She is survived by her son, John Tague; daughter–in-law Linda Tague of Pompano Beach, Fla; two grandchildren, Stacia Tague, of Spring Hill, Tenn. and James Tague of Pompano Beach, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Long in 1971.

Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 4, 2012 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Park Cemetery Greenfield.
