Charles Martin Phillippe, 93, of Greenfield, passed away on April 27, 2012, at his residence after a long illness. Charles was born in Pinkstaff, Ill., on Oct. 30, 1918, to Martin Alexander and Garnett Edna McCarty Phillippe.
Charles retired from Texaco Refinery Company after many years of hard work. He was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church and loved his family very much.
Charles is survived by daughters, Janet (Tex) Plough and Joanne (Jack) Martin; and brother, Glen D. (Laura) Phillippe.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; wife, M. Frances Ford Phillippe; brothers, Norvin, Carl and Robert Phillippe; and sister, Edith Phillippe Cook.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel, 11636 E Washington St., until the time of service which will begin at 1 p.m. at the Mortuary.
