Nadene McDaniel, 75, journeyed home to our Lord on April 10, 2012. Born August, 20, 1936 in Zalma, Mo., she was the daughter of Jesse and Oma (Francis) Phillips.

Nadene and Richard began traveling with their children at a very young age. Throughout their life together they traveled all over the world. Together the McDaniel family built their parents dream, a cabin in the Colorado Rockies. She was inspired by God’s masterpieces; mountains, golden Aspens, beautiful lakes, and wild animals. That inspiration flowed from her heart through her paintbrush and can be seen in her extraordinary landscapes.

She was a fiercely protective and compassionate sister, wife, mother and grandmother who loved completely with all her heart. Those who knew her best knew she was a resilient, determined and tough woman who, through her faith in the Lord, overcame incredible hurdles.

Surviving her is her devoted husband of 56 years, Richard McDaniel of Charlottesville, Ind.; children Jeff McDaniel of Noblesville, Mike (Dawn) McDaniel, Pat McDaniel both of Greenfield, Amber (Eric) McDaniel Reeves of Bloomington; grandchildren, Shane, Jake, Chance, Mackenzie, Casey, Samuel, Ivan, Olivia and Jackson; brother Jack (Melva) Phillips, of Greenfield.

Preceding her in death are her parents Jesse and Oma Phillips and sister Emogene Gould.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Friends may call Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be sent to Greenfield Church of Christ, P. O. Box 475, Greenfield, IN 46140.
