Joseph Wayne Parton, 69, of Greenfield, passed away on Feb. 17, 2012. Born on July 22, 1942, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Charles M. and Esther (Nail) Parton.
Surviving him are his wife, Cathryn Parton of Greenfield; parents, Charles and Esther Parton of Owensburg; child, Brooke (Patty) Parton of Bloomington; brother, Mike Parton of Owensburg; sister, Wilma (Rodney) Marple of Owensburg; and one grandson.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Brookville Road Community Church in New Palestine. Visitation will take place from 5 p.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Hubert Nolan will be officiating. Private burial will take place at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brookville Road Community Church, 7480 U.S. 52 New Palestine, IN 46163.
