Merlyn D. Sagstetter, 81, of Fortville, died on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at his home. He was born on Aug. 20, 1930, in Wausau, Wis., to the late Lawrence and Olga (Lemma) Sagstetter.
Merlyn retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Seargent having served his country in Vietnam.
He is survived by his sons, David C. (Meyoung) Sagstetter of Korea, Scott (Jan) Sagstetter of Indianapolis, and Karl (Tamara) Sagstetter of Carmel; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bridget (Skelcher) Sagstetter in September 2011.
Private services will take place at a later date in Wisconsin.
