Christopher D. Durkee, age 35, of Rochester, died on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was born on Jan. 31, 1976, in Rensselaer, Ind., the son of David L. and Emma Jo (Schneider) Durkee.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda C. Durkee, of Rochester, Ind.; his children, Christopher, Darren, Allison, Andrew, Sophia and Evelyn Durkee, all of Rochester, Ind.; his father, David Durkee, of Rochester, Ind.; his mother Emma Jo Durkee, of Greenfield; sister, Sabrina (Kyle) Zellers, of Kewanna, Ind.; maternal grandfather, Clarence Gerald Schneider, of Greenfield; and paternal grandmother, Anna Durkee, of Medaryville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Helen Schneider; and paternal grandfather, Russell Durkee.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at The Cross Church, in Rochester, Ind. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at the church.
