Wendell Bruce Seaton Sr., age 70, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011 at his residence. Born on Oct. 23, 1940 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Wendell E. Seaton and Lillian (Bradford) Seaton.
He graduated from Triton Central High School in 1959. He was a veteran of the National Guard.
Wendell worked for Kroger as a head dairy clerk for over 23 years before retiring in 2000. He enjoyed fishing.
Surviving him are his sons, Robert (Christine) Seaton and John Seaton both of Morristown; daughter-in-law, Melissa Seaton of Morristown; brothers, James (Sue) Seaton of Greenfield, Terry (Pam) Seaton of Greenfield, Harry Seaton of Fountaintown, Ronnie Cotton of Springfield, Mo.; and 7 grandchildren, Lacy, Tyler, Megan, Lauren, Ryan, Zach, and Luke.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Wendell B. Seaton Jr.; and sister Linda Rittenhouse.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. also at the mortuary. Pastor Fred Hickman will be officiating. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
