Helen L. Beach, age 88, of Fortville, passed away on March 1, 2011, in Pendleton. Born on April 21, 1922, in Carthage, she was the daughter of Victor and Dorothy Moore. Helen married Sabert L. Beach in 1939 in Rushville.
She worked for Kroger as the assistant manager of their cafeteria in Indianapolis and also previously worked at the Little Red Door Cancer Agency. Mrs. Beach was a member of Carthage United Methodist Church and the Womens Auxiliary of the VFW and American Legion in Fortville.
Surviving her are her daughter, Regina (John) Shipley of Fortville; and grandchildren, Tamera Shipley of Indianapolis and John E. Shipley of Fortville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Landon, Howard, and Donald Moore; and a son, Robert Beach.
Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2011, at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington. Pastor Paul Enyart will be officiating. Erlewein Mortuary of Fortville is handling all arrangements.
