Marvin H. Mitchell, 82, of Fortville, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, in Greenfield. He was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Monroe County, Ind. to the late Hassell and Lillie M. (Rogers) Mitchell.
He is survived by his children, Karen (Steve) Burns of Indianapolis, Jerry (Bonnie) Mitchell of Fortville, Timothy (Teresa) Mitchell of Indianapolis, Scott (Keri) Mitchell of Westfield, Teresa (Brad) Sparks of Muncie, Kimberly (Mike) Bundy of Greenfield; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Smith and Jeanette Scott, both of Indianapolis; and brothers John Mitchell of Mont. and Michael Mitchell of Ind.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerilyn; sisters, Pearl Miller, Irene Sparks, Marie Borton, and Katherine Miller; and brothers, Robert and Donald Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. Friends may call from 12 noon until the beginning of the service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
