Clyde E. Swackhamer, 83, of Fortville, died on Saturday Nov. 27, 2010. He was born on June 12, 1927, in Frankfort, Ind., and was a Pendleton/Fortville area resident for 49 years.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff (Beverly) Swackhamer of Bowling Green, Ky., and Doug (Wilma) Swackhamer of Pendleton; brother, Richard Swackhamer of Frankfort; sister, Audra Joan Kingery of Tuscon, Ariz.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Dorcas (Reagan) Swackhamer; wife, Nancy Jane (Coble) Swackhamer; brother, Morris Swackhamer; and sister, Alma Dean Humburg.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1. 2010, immediately following the visitation at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, with Reverend Eddie Purciful officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery and will include military rites.
