Early continues through Nov. 4
GREENFIELD – Early voting for the 2024 presidential election continues through Nov. 4. Election Day is Nov. 5.
The Hancock County Courthouse is open for early voting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, and 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 4. The courthouse is at 9 E. Main St., Greenfield.
The Hancock County Public Library in Greenfield is open 2-7 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 1; 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2; and 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 4. The library is located at 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield.
The Sugar Creek branch of the HCPL is open for early voting from 2-7 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 1; and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. The library is at 5731 W. U.S. 52, New Palestine.
The Mt. Vernon School Administration Building will host early voting from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 1; and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. The address is 1806 W. Ind. 234, Fortville (the site is not an Election Day voting location).
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department will host early voting from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 1 (no Saturdays). The administration offices are at 398 Malcolm Grass Way, Greenfield; parking is in the East lot.
Randall Residence (West location) will host early voting from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays from Oct. 21-Nov. 1 (no Saturdays). The facility is at 6338 W. Quiet Road, Greenfield.
Chamber to host veterans lunch, women’s conference
GREENFIELD – The Hancock County Chamber of Commerce has two events coming up in November.
Invite a Veteran to Lunch is an annual tradition, set for noon Nov. 5 at the Community Foundation of Hancock County’s Thrive Center, 971 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. The Women in Business Conference is set for 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 15 at NineStar Connect, 2243 E. Main St., Greenfield. Celebrate the achievements of women in business, hear from a panel and enjoy lunch. Registration is $50. Sponsorships and door prizes are accepted. Country Vintage Market Nov. 2
GREENFIELD – The Country Vintage Market returns to the Hancock County Fairgrounds soon.
The event is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 2 and features two buildings of food and craft vendors at the Hancock County Fairgrounds, 620 Apple St., Greenfield.
The event is hosted by Hancock County Extension Homemakers and is a fundraiser for the group.
Parks department offers kids art classes
GREENFIELD — It’s cool outside, but Greenfield Parks is offering local children a chance to warm up with some hot and cold art projects.
The department’s art studio, located on the lower level of the Patricia Elmore Center at Riley Park, is offering classes from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Nov. 6, 13 and 20. Kids will learn to express themselves through playful projects that highlight the power of color in art. The program is for children ages 5-13. Cost is $60.
