Summer Fest planned for New Pal

NEW PALESTINE – Summer Fest will be June 23-24, featuring food, live music and fireworks at 11 E. Main St., New Palestine.

Nick & Friends and Clayton Anderson perform June 23, while Wildheart Band, Reverie, John Beatrice Band and Country Summer perform June 24 and the festival concludes with fireworks.

Eyeglass collection drive this month

GREENFIELD – New and used eyeglasses will be accepted the entire month of June in support of Lions Optical Missions.

Erlewein Mortuary and Crematory is hosting an eyeglass collection drive. Drop off glasses at 1484 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield.

Historical buildings open for tours

GREENFIELD – The Log Jail and Chapel in the Park Museum are open for tours.

“CHiPS” TV stars to attend local fundraiser

GREENFIELD – The stars of the old TV show “CHiPS” will be on at a local fundraiser in October, and tickets are on sale now.

Guest stars Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox will be at “Dinner with CHiPS” fundraiser. The event will benefit the McCordsville-based Blue Angel Connect, which works with public safety agencies and other local organizations to provide services to communities in Hancock and Henry counties.

“CHiPS” was a crime drama television series that aired on NBC from 1977 to 1983.

The event will feature dinner at Bradley Hall in Greenfield Oct. 21 and is $275 a ticket. People may also purchase tickets for autographs and photos with the “CHiPS” stars Oct. 20 at a hotel in Indianapolis. For details and tickets, visit blueangelconnect.org.
