Home ownership class coming up

GREENFIELD – An introduction to home ownership course will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6.

The free event, in the community room of the Hancock County Public Library’s main branch in Greenfield, will feature Vickie McIntosh, mortgage loan officer at First Merchants Bank. Sign up at hcplibrary.org or call 317-462-5141 ext. 240 for questions.

School supply drive underway

MCCORDSVILLE – A school supply drive for next school year is already starting up. Blue Angel Connect is collecting school supplies for a backpack giveaway for the 2023-24 school year. The backpacks and supplies will be given to Hancock County elementary school students who would otherwise struggle to purchase them. Visit blueangelconnect.org for a link to the wish list to purchase items online; the items will be sent directly to Blue Angel Connect to be organized and distributed. The drive will continue through July 7.

Library blood drives April 15

HANCOCK COUNTY – Two libraries in Hancock County will host blood drives next month.

The Hancock County Public Library will have a Versiti Bloodmobile on site April 15.

The bus will be on site 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 15 at the main branch, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. The drive is from 1:30-4 p.m. April 15 at the Sugar Creek branch, 5731 W. U.S. 52, New Palestine.

Masks are required. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Learn more or sign up at hcplibrary.org.
