Robert F. Fields, Jr., known to most as Bobby, age 58 of Greenfield passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at Franciscan Health. He was born in Greenfield on July 16, 1964, to Robert F. “Bob” Fields and Marsha Lynn (Frazier) Fields. He was married to Brenda (Norfleet) Fields “Shelly”.

Bobby was the president of Fields Auto Parts, Inc. in Greenfield where he worked for 45 years at the family establishment started by his father.

Bobby loved everything racing. He competed and won in late models, mini stocks, super trucks and street stocks. He won late model and mini stock championships at Mt. Lawn Speedway and Anderson.

He sponsored several race teams and was a proud sponsor of Mt Lawn Speedway, “The Lawn”.

Bobby was a very competitive coon hunter; he was a member of the UKC where he won the prestigious “Walker Days” and placed in state championships.

He loved the outdoors. He was great at finding morel mushrooms and always shared them. He was introduced to deer hunting and fishing by his great friend, David. Most of all Bobby loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Bobby is survived by his loving family including daughters Nikki Fields, and Sarah (Tim Apollos) Fields, sons Ronnie Fields and Zach (Kaysi) Fields, and stepchildren Carmen Norfleet and Korey Bowling. Grandchildren Katelinn (Layne) Dudley, Kirstin Cavaletto, Marcus Cavaletto, Charli, Christopher, Ravenna, and Boston. Siblings, Rusty (Ramona) Fields, Greenfield, and Brandi (Keith) Wetli, Greenfield, and his best friend, David Tanksley, Connersville IN. He was proceeded in death by his father, Bob Fields, Sr., and his brother, Rick Fields.

Visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor William Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Simmons Cemetery in Wilkinson.
