MESA
Don Stafford passed away February 24, 2023, following a year long battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Greenfield High School, Class of 1953. He was married to Janice Dougherty in 1955 and they lived in Greenfield until 1967. In 1969, he took a position with Magnavox in Illinois, then on to Arizona and a career with Motorola. He earned his engineering degree from Arizona State University and continued in that field until retiring. Don owned and operated a International Minute Press printing business for the next 10 years. At that time, they bought a motorhome and traveled the country for a few more years before finally settling in Mesa, Arizona for the rest of his life. He was preceeded in death by his parents, JD and Leota Stafford and his 2 sisters, Delores Stoepler and Gloria Denney. He leaves his wife of 68 years, Janice, his three children, Jennifer (Clet), Greg (Anna), and Janene, 5 grandchildren, 12 g-grandchildren and 1 gg-grandchild. He leaves us all with many happy and loving memories. There will be a graveside service on March 6, 2023 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa, AZ.
