McCORDSVILLE — Firefighters found a deceased person during their response to a house fire Wednesday night, according to a news release from the McCordsville Police Department.
Police and the Vernon Township Fire Department were dispatched to the fire in the Bay Creek subdivision at about 9 p.m. Wednesday. Fire personnel located a deceased person in the house, the news release continues, adding no further information is known at this time and no further information is being released.
The investigation will include the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s office, Vernon Township Fire Department, Hancock County Coroner’s Office and the McCordsville Police Department.
