The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection reports and are routine inspections, unless otherwise noted.

Aug. 3

Round the Corner Grill

19 S. Bittner Road, New Palestine

Violations found: NC – need to provide sanitizer test strips, to be corrected by Aug. 10; C – employee observed touching bun of sandwich with bare hands, corrected; C – employee observed not washing hands before putting on gloves, corrected; NC, R – debris build-up on floors under fryers and oven on line, to be corrected by Aug. 10; CNC – ventilation hood has debris and is dripping, to be corrected by Aug. 10; NC – ice scoop is stored in holder that has debris, corrected; NC – debris hanging from chains, electrical cord, bag with zip tie and in dry storage area, to be corrected by Aug. 10; NC – need to improve thermometers in all refrigeration units, to be corrected by Aug. 10; NC – some lights not working in kitchen area, to be corrected by Aug. 10; NC – employee washing dishes with towel but dishes are to air dry, to be corrected by Aug. 10.
