Dyana Cousins flew to Fairbanks, Alaska, to visit her son Brett Ward; his wife, Jesse; and granddoggie Gus. Part of Brett’s work is driving oversize loads on the haul road through Atigun Pass to the oilfields in Deadhorse. “We went to the State Fair, Wildlife Conservation Center, SeaLife Center, panned for gold, toured an Ice Museum and visited Santa Claus at North Pole. Also, got to see the Beluga Whales and Northern Lights,” Cousins writes. “Was an awesome trip and had lots of fun.”
