GREENFIELD
Roger H. Viehweg, age 81, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at his home. He was born in Litchfield, Illinois on October 22, 1940 to Roleen L. (Wohlers) and Harold E. Viehweg. He was a 1958 graduate from Fenger High School. On November 28, 1959, he married Loraine Marlene Eisentraut in Chicago.
For many years, he owned and managed Rainbow Rental Store. Roger was a past Boy Scout Leader for Troop #320 in Riverdale, Illinois. He enjoyed cooking and preparing meals.
Roger is survived by his children, Stephan Viehweg (Jan) of Greenfield, Toben Viehweg (Tracie) of Frankfort, IL, Jamie Viehweg (Emily) of Naperville, IL, and Wayne Viehweg (Silke) of Wadsworth, IL; grandchildren, Bryce, Blaire, Tara, Zachary, Rachel, Amber and Cody; great-grandchildren, Emma, James, Mason and Mady; and brother, William Viehweg of Mount Olive, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Loraine; and sister, Sharon Anderson.
A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held on a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory in Greenfield.
