Richard L. “Dick” Lowder, age 67, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Aperion Care in Peru, Indiana. Born on December 17, 1954, in Greenfield, he was the son of Elizabeth Pauline (Roney) and James Lowell Lowder. Dick was a 1973 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. For many years, he was a self-employed truck driver as well as a lifelong farmer throughout Hancock County. Dick enjoyed watching NASCAR and driving his truck. He was a hardworking man and a friend to all.

Dick is survived by his loving children, Lloyd Miller (Christina) of Fishers, Sara Morton (Rick) of Mooreland, Abby Russell (Jeff) of Greenfield and Sheena Williams (Shane) of Carthage; brother, William “Bill” Lowder of Mooreland; grandchildren, Samantha Guzman, Nikolaus Miller, Jacob Haste, Dalisse Morton, Kaylee Russell, Emma Cook, Natalee Russell, Gracie Russell, Samuel Lowder, Alexis Williams, Jonathen Lowder, Suzzanna Lowder and Aden Lowder; and great-grandchildren, Gracie, Lilliana, Mason Guzman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and James; grandson, Thomas Tonroy; and granddaughter, Erica Lowder.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at the mortuary on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Steve Brackney will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
