FORTVILLE – Several Mt. Vernon staff were honored and recognized at an inaugural staff breakfast recently.
Staff members were recognized for five, 15, 20, 25, 35 and 45 years of service.
Honored retirees included Kay Burdine, Mt. Vernon Middle School, 21 years; Jeannine Carder, McCordsville Elementary School, 20 years; Deborah Duncan, McCordsville Elementary School, 13 years; Laura Foy, McCordsville Elementary School, 25 years; John Gross, administration, 26 years; Virginia Horton, Mt. Vernon Middle School, 16 years; Marcia Marshall, transportation, 45 years; Deb McEvers, Fortville Elementary School, 17 years; Janet Nylund, Mt. Comfort Elementary School, 40.5 years; George Rafert, transportation, 46 years; D’Lee Rush, Mt. Vernon Middle School, 22 years; Gwen Scrogham, administration, 29 years; Martha Skinner, Fortville Elementary School, 15 years; Shelley Spencer, McCorsdville Elementary School, 24 years.
Marcia Marshall and Becky Johnson received an honor for serving 45 years. Tom Shaver was recognized for 35 years.
