FORTVILLE – Fortville Town Council is slated to consider zoning approval for two proposed apartment buildings at its next meeting, which is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 5 at the Fortville Community Center, 400 W. Church St., Fortville.
The buildings would be developed just west of Ridge View Apartments located at 550-801 N. School St. and would be three stories with 40 market-rate units each.
The Fortville Plan Commission recently gave the proposal a favorable recommendation. Several residents expressed concerns over the project, including increased traffic, a lack of consistency with the surrounding area, effects to existing property values and light intrusion on nearby homes.
