CrazyLake to present “Once Upon a Mattress”
GREENFIELD – Tickets are on sale now for “Once Upon a Mattress,” presented by CrazyLake Acting Company in downtown Greenfield.
The show is July 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17 at the H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts, 122 W. Main St., Greenfield. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday performances are at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available in advance for $10 plus a fee at https://mattressclac.bpt.me and Hometown Comics and Games, 1040 N. State St., Greenfield. Tickets are $12 at the door an hour before showtime.
Food, scavenger hunt today in Riley Park
GREENFIELD – Hancock 4 Kids will host its free Family Fun Summer Series 6:30-8 p.m. today, June 30 and Thursday July 21.
Both events, at Riley Park’s East pavilion off of Apple Street, include a picnic meal and games. A scavenger hunt will be featured today and a backpack and school supply giveaway will be July 21. For more, visit facebook.com/hancockcountychildren.
Inaugural Freedom Fest planned
GREENFIELD – Depot Street Park will once again be the site for live entertainment July 4, in the inaugural Freedom Fest hosted by The Depot restaurant.
The free event, from 2-10 p.m., will include vendors and feature music from Mike and the Boys, Gordon Pipers and The Nauti Yachtys. The Depot was once a grain elevator transformed into a restaurant and bar, and is located adjacent to the city of Greenfield’s Depot Street Park, 251 Depot St., Greenfield.
Free summer movies continue
GREENFIELD – The city of Greenfield’s free summer movie series continues July 7. A free movie will be shown at the Kathy Dowling Aquatic Center. The event is hosted by Greenfield Parks and Recreation. The pool opens at 8 p.m. and the movie begins at dusk. Pre-registration is required due to capacity limits.
