Letter to the Editor: School Shootings

To the Editor:

Over the years, it has become obvious that society has changed, and in some respects, not for the better.

We, corporately, have reduced our ability to educate and bring up good citizens with a moral compass.

In my opinion, these school shootings, highlight the need to reverse course, and ensure that we give parents and prospective parents the necessary support and guidance to achieve this responsibility.

Tragic as it is, this is not the time for political manipulation or ideological enforcement.

There are over 300 million guns in circulation in America, which means that they are always available by fair means or foul.

Incidentally, I have never owned a gun, and are not a member of the gun lobby!

The need now is for all of us to help bring value back in society with the moral compass.

Right vs Wrong, Good vs Bad, Need vs Want, and Love vs Hate.

So simple but yet so difficult to implement in this day and age.

Parents, we are the future by how we bring up our offspring. It is our responsibility, not the government’s.

Let us take this responsibility in a positive manner, rather reneging on our duty and following a political direction.

If we do this, we will be given the best possible reward. A LIFE WORTHWHILE.
