Norma June (Phillips) Witsman, age 76, of Greenfield, passed away April 28, 2022. Born on November 6, 1945, in Oneida, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Charlie and Nellie Phillips. She married Garland Lovell Witsman on December 11, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Norma graduated at age 16 from Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Tennessee. For over 15 years, she worked in accounting at Ernst and Young in Indianapolis. She enjoyed reading, especially suspense and mystery novels, being outside tending to her birdfeeders, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Norma is survived by her son, Mark Justin Witsman (Catherine) of McCordsville; daughter, Christina Marie Myers of Fortville; grandchildren, Seth Witsman (Tyra), Madeleine Witsman, and Isaac Witsman; great-granddaughter, Raven Witsman; and sister, Jean McCarroll. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters Charline Stephens and Ruth Hill; and brother, Jim Phillips.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
