FORTVILLE — Bettagere Orthodontics has set up shop in the building formerly occupied by Garst Rx Pharmacy located at 325 S. Main St. in Fortville.

Garst Rx Pharmacy sold its practice to CVS in 2020 after opening in the former bank building in 2015.
Residential real estate remains active
HANCOCK COUNTY — Hancock County continues to see an active residential real estate market, an area real estate agency reports.
According to F.C. Tucker Company, Hancock County saw a 1.2% increase in homes sold in March 2022 compared to this time last year. Housing inventory also increased, up 37% compared to March 2021.
Home sale prices increased as well, up 21.6% year-to-date to an average sale price of $309,895.
The agency also reported rises throughout a 16-county central Indiana region. March 2022 pended home sales increased 2% compared to March 2021, while year-to-date home sale prices increased 2.1%. Central Indiana housing inventory increased 1.5% compared to this time last year.
The average March home sale price for the region was $303,561, an increase of 17.1% compared to March 2021
New program to recognize manufacturers
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has announced a new program to celebrate manufacturers who are treating their employees well – Indiana’s Best Places to Work in Manufacturing.
Hoosier companies can enroll now through late July to find out if their business is one of the state’s top manufacturing employers. The initiative stems from the Indiana Chamber’s popular Best Places to Work in Indiana awards, which began in 2006.
Regardless of placement, all participating employers will receive a feedback report that contains the results of an employee survey.
