Financial advisor honored for performance

GREENFIELD — Michael Mack, who has been an Edward Jones financial advisor in central Indiana since 2004, was recently invited to attend the Edward Jones Managing Partner’s Conference, which honors the top 400 of the firm’s more than 19,000 financial advisors.

It’s is the eighth time Mack has been invited to the event.

Residential real estate remains active

HANCOCK COUNTY — The county continues to see an active residential real estate market, an area realtor reports.

According to F.C. Tucker Company, Hancock County saw a 58.7% increase in homes sold in January 2022 compared to this time last year. Housing inventory increased, up 8.5% compared to January 2021.

Home sale prices increased, up 27.1%, year-to-date, to an average sale price of $301,238.

Elanco nominated for awards

GREENFIELD — Elanco Animal Health is up for two awards from a nonprofit initiative for Indiana’s technology ecosystem.

TechPoint announced the company is nominated for two of its annual Mira Awards: Large Enterprise and Service Partner of the Year.

The crop of 76 nominees include organizations from 14 counties, representing 17 cities. Only 12 of the nominated organizations will walk away with hardware at the 23rd annual Mira Awards gala Saturday, April 23. The nominees emerged from among 166 applications submitted this year for the awards that honor the best in Indiana tech.

State accepting nods for business awards

INDIANAPOLIS — The state of Indiana is currently accepting nominations for the Governor’s Century and Half Century Business Awards, which honor Hoosier businesses that have remained in operation for at least 100 or 50 years, respectively, and have demonstrated a commitment to serving the community.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s 28th Annual Employment Law Seminar is 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center. A virtual option is also available.
