Black, white art events coming

GREENFIELD – The Twenty North Gallery is hosting two events Saturday, Jan. 29.

Decorate your own set of black and white cookies with Crimped Crust from 10 a.m. to noon. Or create a welcome sign from 2 to 4 p.m. with Twisted Sister Original Designs. The studio, 20 N. State St., Greenfield, is showcasing local art all in black and white this month and is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Couples art night set

GREENFIELD – A Couples Sip and Paint class will be held 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 through the Greenfield Parks and Recreation Art Studio. The class, $60 per couple, includes supplies for two canvases that when combined make a single piece of art. Also included is one adult beverage per person and refreshments. Register by Jan. 31 at parks.greenfieldin.org; the event will be held at the Riley Park Shelter House.

Kids will ‘spread the love’ in February

GREENFIELD – Children and teens may participate in a February weekly art course focused on giving back to the community. “Spread the Love” is the theme of Greenfield Parks and Recreation Art Studio. Students will create thank-you cards for donors at the upcoming Greenfield Parks’ blood drive; paint 3-D flowers for senior citizens; create bookmarks for Little Free Libraries; and make portraits of adoptable cats and dogs for local animal shelters.

Registration is required at parks.greenfieldin.org. Classes are held every Wednesday at the studio in the lower level of the Patricia Elmore Center near Riley Park.
