Mildred “Millie” (Lucas) Wiedenhaupt, age 82, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022. She was born in Franklin, Indiana on August 9, 1939 to Lucian Lucas and Gladys (Hogue) Lucas. She graduated from Nineveh High School in 1957. On February 19, 1966, she married William “Bill” Wiedenhaupt in Nineveh, Indiana.

She worked for Hickory Farms as a District Supervisor for many years and then at the Indiana Unemployment Office as an Intake Clerk for over 10 years before retiring in 2005. Millie was a member at Park Chapel Christian Church in Greenfield. She enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, watching tennis, and was an avid Reds, Colts, and IU Basketball fan. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Millie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Wiedenhaupt of Greenfield; children, Tammy (John) Ditto of Greenfield, Angie (David) Kahl of Greenfield, Chad (Tina) Wiedenhaupt of Spring, TX; grandchildren, Justin, Emily, Olivia, Brenna, Benjamin, Ethan, Mason, Brittany, Shelby, Lucas, Hayden, Alysea, and Kiara; 5 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Stanley (Frieda) Lucas of Franklin, and Bruce (Linda) Lucas Jr. of Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucian and Gladys; brothers, Glancy, Floyd, Preston and Dallas Lucas; and sister, Barbara Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Ethan Davis officiating.
