Jack Wayne Zerkel, New Palestine, 85, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born November 18, 1936 to Wayne and Ada (Savieo) Zerkel.
After graduating high-school, he served in the United States Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge in 1958. In 1961, he married Jean Anne Mills and they had two children. He was a 1962 graduate of Purdue University and retired from Navistar in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he worked over 30 years as a manager in the computer division. In his free-time, he enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by a son, Mark Wayne Zerkel (wife Reggie), daughter KayLynn Reynolds (husband Brad). He is also survived by four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with his nature, services are private and for the family only.
