GREENFIELD
Ricky Lewis Brown, age 70, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born in Indianapolis on November 21, 1951 to Melvin Brown and Maud Imogene (Callis) Brown. He graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1970 and served in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1979 during the Vietnam War. On October 2, 1982, Ricky married Donna Fisher in Greenfield.
He worked at Roll Coater and Pre-Coat Metals for over 35 years before retiring in 2019. In his free time, Ricky enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and keeping up with the current news. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Donna Brown of Greenfield; children, Christian (Jimmy) Griffith of Greenfield, Jennifer (Brandon Winkle) Brown of McCordsville, Richard Brown of Greenfield, Amanda Brown of Greenfield, and Stephen (Corey Van Hoosier) Brown of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Adrianne Winkle, Anthony Griffith, Connor Griffith, Jocelyn Winkle, Morgan Griffith, Brooklyn Winkle, and Ryder Winkle; and brother, Mark (Susie) Brown of Arcadia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Maud Brown.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A private family graveside service will take place on a later date. Military Rights will be rendered by the U.S. Navy and Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard.
