NEW PALESTINE — The rescheduled Winterfest kicks off at 4 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 17) with the Santa’s Trail Christmas Walk to promote local businesses. Participants will be able to pick up a map of the trail at the Edward Jones office, 48 W. Main St., Suite A, starting 3 p.m. and visit participating businesses on Main Street and vendors at New Palestine Town Hall.
Winterfest also will feature a visit by Santa Claus, and visitors also can visit food trucks on Depot Street; watch dog show performances every 30 minutes; and enjoy story time with Mrs. Claus at 4:45 p.m. at the Nichols Building downtown. The community tree-lighting countdown will begin around 6:15 p.m., and winners of the Light the Night contest, which attracted more than 30 entries, also will be announced.
