Janet Marie (Geise) Wilson, age 85, of New Palestine, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Born on May 10, 1936, she was the daughter of Loren Russell Geise and Irma Lousie (Adams) Geise. She graduated from Manilla High School in 1954. Janet married the love of her life, Duane R. Wilson, on September 18, 1955 in Homer, Indiana. They enjoyed 61 wonderful years of marriage prior to his passing.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a very active member of New Palestine United Methodist Church and a previous member of The Order of the Eastern Star. Janet enjoyed volunteering her time at New Palestine Elementary as a reading tutor and with the PTA. She was a beloved lunch lady at New Palestine High School for many years before her retirement. She especially liked baking, reading, and visiting with friends on her porch.

Janet is survived by children, Keith (Dawn) Wilson of Phoenix, AZ, Scott (Julie) Wilson of Winter Garden, FL, and Ann (Greg) Estes of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Craig (Jamie) Wilson, Eric Wilson, Alex Wilson, Nicholas (Nikki) Wilson, Haley Wilson, Taylor (Jordan) Harvey, Lauren and Peyton Estes; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Amelia, Masen, Collin, Griffin, Grant, and Madeline; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane R. Wilson; parents, Loren and Irma Geise; grandson, Christopher Wilson; and siblings, Jerry Geise, Marilyn Niehoff, and Glenda Fraley.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at New Palestine United Methodist Church, 3565 S 500 W, New Palestine, IN 46163. A funeral service will begin at noon with Reverend Anthony Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory in Greenfield.
