He didn’t arrive in a sleigh pulled by his reindeer, but Santa’s entrance during the weekend’s downtown Christmas Lights Parade was almost as dramatic. Riding atop a Greenfield Fire Territory ladder truck, Santa made his way to the Courthouse Square to kick off the community Christmas season on Saturday evening, Dec. 4. His grand arrival was the highlight of a glimmering evening of celebration after the event was canceled in 2020. Children may leave letters until Dec. 15 at Santa’s mailboxes at two locations: on the Courthouse Plaza and at the Patricia Elmore Center, 280 Apple St. More information is available on the city’s website: greenfieldin.org.
