GREENFIELD
Gloria Jean (Stafford) Denney, age 79, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born in Greenfield on July 13, 1942 to Jesse Stafford and Leota (Harwood) Stafford. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1960. She married Robert E. Denney on March 16, 1962.
She worked for Greenfield Middle School and Harris Elementary School for 27 years before retiring in 2001. Mrs. Denney was interested in Genealogy, plastic canvasing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Denney of Greenfield; sons, Mark (Phyllis) Denney of Elwood and Mike (Heather) Denney of Greenfield; brother, Don (Janice) Stafford of Mesa, Arizona; brother-in-law, Ed Stoepler; grandchildren, Cory Denney of Elwood, Taylor Denney of Elwood, Kyle (Tiffany) Denney of Greenfield, and Colby Denney of Greenfield; great-grandchildren, Raven Denney of Greenfield; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Leota Stafford; and sister, Delores “Dee” Stoepler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, IN.
