GREENFIELD — Area business leaders gathered last month at Photon Automation in Greenfield for the second leg of the Indiana Manufacturers Association’s State of Indiana Manufacturing Summit/Plant Tours.
Attendees received an overview of Photon’s operations, learned how Indiana manufacturing fared before and during the pandemic, and discussed COVID-related tax credits manufacturers may want to review before the end of the year as well as proposals Congress is considering and the tax ramifications of that legislation. IMA’s lobbying team discussed its areas of concentration, legislation that passed and failed over the past year, and what challenges lie ahead for the upcoming legislative session.
After the business meeting, Photon leaders gave attendees a tour of their facility, which manufactures automated machinery using robotics and industrial lasers for welding, drilling, cutting and marking.
