GREENFIELD
Ruby L. Hines, 73 of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday September 25, 2021. She was born on September 26, 1947 in Portland, OR to the late Phyllis Ann Balch. She graduated from South Port High School. Ruby dedicated 20+ years to The City of Indianapolis as a Quality Assurance Representative. Ruby’s resourcefulness led her to pursue many creative and handy endeavors such as gardening, sewing, cooking, and home improvement. She enjoyed spending time in nature and caring for animals. Ruby’s compassionate and nurturing nature brought life to all around her. Ruby generously gave to those in need. She charmed with her beautiful smile and sought justice and equality for all. Ruby is survived by her beloved daughter, Lisa Hines; granddaughter, Brooklyn Hines; sister, Cheryl Keene; niece, Rachel Morehead; nephew, Ryan Morehead; great nephew, Ryan Jr.; great nieces, Keira, Alexis, and Jade; and close friends, Doyle Perkins, Belinda Foster, Micki Mayor, and Maurita Crabtree. She is preceded in death by her mother; and uncle, Al Henning.
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 30, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229). A Funeral service will be held on Friday October 1, 2021 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
