Hoosier Homestead deadline extended

GREENFIELD — The deadline to share information to the Hoosier Homestead Farm book has been extended to Nov. 30.

Book publisher Acclaim Press announced the extension because a large amount of submissions from across the state came in just before the August deadline. If you own a farm that’s been recognized as one of nearly 6,000 Hoosier Homestead farms, you may submit a free 300-word history of the farm and a photo to the book; the information will be included in the book regardless of whether you purchase a copy or not. Information you should include – year the farm started, how many generations have worked/owned it, crops grown, places you sell your crops, year your farm was inducted as a Hoosier Homestead Farm, etc. Or visit the publisher’s website, www.acclaimpress.com, and find the Hoosier Homestead book cover on the front page and fill out your farm history from there. Call (573) 472-9800 for more information.
