Gregory Allen “Gregg” “Garr” Hall, age 60, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis on March 3, 1961 to Prova Jerome “P.J.” Hall and Betty Sue (Collins) Hall. He graduated from Greenfield Central High School in 1979 and was a veteran of the United States Army. On December 28, 2020, he married Chelly A. (Hewitt) Gracy Hall.
He worked for Jonas Productions in Fairland for over 10 years as the general manager. Prior to Jonas Productions, he worked at IRC Music in Indianapolis and owns Strictly Strings of Greenfield. He played guitar in Stagecoach and many other bands. He was a member of ABATE of Indiana and the American Legion Post 152 in Knightstown. He liked fishing, riding motorcycles, guns, guitars, and music. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Gregg is survived by his loving wife, Chelly Hall of Greenfield; children, Derek (Tara) Hall of Spiceland, Heather (Jason) Carter of Morristown, Kaiti Morgan of Clayton; Felisha Rhea of Eminence, Phillip Giles of Brownsburg, Nicole (Joseph) Byerley of Wilkinson, and Ryan Gracy of Greenfield; grandchildren, Brycen, Brynna, Kenzi, Kynna, Finleigh, Braydon, Rylee, Landyn, Emma, Lane, Sophie, David, and Lilly; special friends, Kenney Floyd; and all his bandmates and music family. He was preceded in death by his parents, P.J. and Betty Hall; and uncle, Norman Collins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E New Rd, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Kenney Floyd will be officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.
