That made the splash pad at Riley Park Pool an important destination for moms and kids who were looking for a little relief from the heat. The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for the day and warned people to be careful if they had to be outside. Fortunately, relief is on the way: Highs will be in the high 70s to low 80s this weekend.
