KNIGHTSTOWN — Brenda Cotton earned first place in a national competition for a video she made for the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Cotton, vice regent of the Knightstown-based Major Hugh Dinwiddie chapter, made a 10-minute video about Revolutionary War soldiers in Henry County and DAR members in the Glen Cove Cemetery. Her video, “DAR Connections — Tales for the Cove,” won first place for the east central region in a national competition. The capstone project was part of a member learning course.

Local members involved in the video included Dianne Taylor, Judy Wells, Marianne Hughes and Denise Akers. Others in the video included Sam Cotton, Janet Kreps and Mark Kreps.

The video can be seen on the Glen Cove Cemetery Knightstown Facebook page.
