Mt. Lebanon drive-thru fish fry is today

GREENFIELD — A drive-thru fish fry is planned for 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday (May 15) at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 3447 S. State Road 9, Greenfield.

The menu will include fried fish, french fries, hush puppies, baked beans, cole slaw and brownies.

There will be a freewill offering.

Proceeds will benefit missions and special projects.

Amity church plant sale continues today

BUCK CREEK TOWNSHIP — Amity United Methodist Church’s annual plant sale began Thursday and continues from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (May 15).

The church is located at the corner of County Road 600 West (Mt. Comfort Road) and County Road 100 North.

The sale typically features trees, bushes, annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, berry bushes, hostas and more.

Rummage sale continues today

GREENFIELD — Northside Christian Church’s annual rummage sale began Friday and continues from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today (May 15) at the church, 1304 Greenfield Drive (off McKenzie Road between State and Broadway streets).

Items for sale include two glass-top end tables, a comforter, jewelry “and other treasures,” according to a press release from the church. Items are not priced; free-will offerings are accepted.

Proceeds will go to missions, including Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen.

The sale takes place in the basement of the church; enter through the back door.

Chick-fil-A tent visits Fortville on Thursday

FORTVILLE — The Chick-Fil-A tent will be up at Fortville Farmers Market.

Its presence throughout the summer at the market, which takes place 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays in the parking lot of Fortville Church of the Nazarene, will be a fundraiser for the church’s student ministry. Fifteen percent of the proceeds will go toward summer events and activities for the youth.

You can buy a regular or spicy chicken sandwich, along with various salad/fruit or wrap options — with chips, not fries. Find menu options at “Chick-fil-A at FortNaz” on Facebook.

Car show to benefit Zoey’s Place

GREENFIELD — Men’s groups are planning a car show for 2 to 7 p.m. May 22 at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E. New Road, Greenfield. It will benefit Zoey’s Place Child Advocacy Center.

Bounce houses and a fish and tenderloin fry are also planned.

Entries can be cars, motorcycles, tractors … organizers say if you can drive it, you can show it.

Or register from noon to 2 p.m. the day of the show.

Cost to enter is any donation. Awards and door prizes will be given at 5 p.m. Awards include Top 40 (all makes and models), dash plaques for the first 50 registered, Pastor’s Choice, “Zoey’s Choice” and Best of Show.

Mercy Table set for May 22

FORTVILLE — The next Mercy Table community meal is set for noon to 2 p.m. May 22 at Mercy Road Church Northeast, 611 Vitality Drive in Fortville.

Organizers say it is open to the public and to come as you are.

Local ministry provides furnishings to needy

GREENFIELD — A furniture ministry out of Faith Baptist Church, 1489 E. County Road 600N, provides household furnishings to families in need.

Love INC works closely with the church’s furniture ministry.

Beds of queen size or smaller, as well as appliances such as clothes washers and dryers, are among the items most often needed. Those wishing to donate appliances and furniture are asked to contact Love INC at 317-468-6300.
