GREENFIELD — The Indiana Department of Transportation will close ramps on State Road 9 to and from I-70 for construction work.
The ramp closures will occur the next three weekends: April 30 – May 3, May 7-10 and May 14-17. Ramps will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday.
Crews will be installing concrete center islands on some of the ramps and on SR 9. This is a safety feature that will separate traffic as they exit onto SR 9.
The ramp closures include I-70 eastbound to SR 9 northbound as well as SR 9 northbound and southbound to I-70 eastbound.
During the ramp closures, to get on I-70 eastbound, the official detour is SR 9 northbound to SR 234 eastbound to SR 109 southbound back to I-70 eastbound.
