GREENFIELD — Friends of the Hancock County Public Library is hosting a media drive. The books and other media collected will be sold to raise funds to host free concerts and children’s events at the library.

De-clutter and get a tax break by dropping off gently used books, DVDs, music CDs and video game discs at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 10.

Those donating should use the side delivery entrance at the northeast corner of the building, ring the bell and volunteers will come to assist. Due to limited space, donations can only be made on the specified date and times.

To buy items from the Friends of the Library, look for bargain books and other media for sale near the entrances of both Hancock County Public Library branches in Greenfield and New Palestine. Most prices range from 50 cents to $2. The Friends now accept credit and debit cards as well as cash.
