Library offers adult Take-and-Make

GREENFIELD/NEW PALESTINE – Adults can celebrate Earth Day with a Take-and-Make microgreen kit during open library hours on April 19 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield, or the New Palestine Branch Library at 5731 West U.S. Highway 52, New Palestine. The kit contains one 5” x’5” grow tray, a 10”x 10” drip/watering tray, a spray bottle, coco coir pellets, seeds and instructions to complete the project. No registration necessary. Register now for the Mutts on Main parade

GREENFIELD – Register now for the first Mutts on Main costume dog parade fundraiser, which will take place at 1 p.m. May 15 in downtown Greenfield. Registration to participate is $15 at the Greenfield Main Street: Mutts on Main Facebook page. The proceeds from the event will benefit Greenfield Main Street and the Hancock County Humane Society.

Ricks-Weil to hold auditions for “Best Little Whorehouse in Texas”

GREENFIELD – The Ricks-Weil Theatre Company will hold auditions for “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” at 7 p.m. April 19 and 20 at the Ricks Centre for the Arts, 122 W. Main St. Auditions are open to anyone 16 and older. The production is headed up by Dan Scharborough as director, music and vocals directed by Kathy Borgman and produced by Beth Ray-Scott.
