The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Location: 6939 W. Broadway St., McCordsville
Violations found: NC – thermometer at hand sink needs to reach 100 degrees, thermometer in refrigeration unit is measuring below 30 degrees, food is at 40 degrees, to be corrected by Feb. 28.
Meijer
Location: 6931 W. Broadway St., McCordsville
Violations found: NC – chicken area needs thin-tipped accurate food thermometer, corrected; NC – Starbuck’s needs to provide refrigeration thermometer for reach-in cooler, to be corrected by Feb. 13; NC/R – gaps at bottom of a few loading docks (repair called), to be corrected by Feb. 13; C – expired turkey in grab n’ go, corrected.
