Restaurant inspections for Jan. 27-28

The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Jan. 27

Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant

Location: 1550 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC/R – remove debris from shelving in kitchen above food prep sink, shelving holding microwave and legs of fryer, to be corrected by Feb. 13; C – knives in knife holder have debris, spray bottles with chemicals are not labeled properly, corrected; NC – provide thermometers in all refrigerated units, to be corrected by Feb. 13.

Bamboo Garden Buffet

Location: 2160 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C – knives being stored between equipment (store in clean place), corrected; NC – debris on white storage bins with flower and sugar, to be corrected by Feb. 13; NC – three-compartment sink is leaking at faucet, to be corrected by April 2.

CVS Pharmacy

Location: 1233 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

Strike Force Lanes

Location: 1539 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC – refrigerator in back room must have thermometer, to be corrected by Feb. 27.
