The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Location: 1522 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

Snapper’s Bar and Grill

Location: 1514 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC — repair/replace broke tiles in kitchen and holes in walls by mop sink and above three-compartment sink, debris on floor under chest freezer and on bottom shelf of stainless steel table, to be corrected by Dec. 7; C — sanitizing solution in sani bucket below 50 PPM, steaks being held at 60 degrees (should be at 41 degrees or below), corrected.

McDonald’s

Location: 2290 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC — repair and seal door casing at bottom around walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer, to be corrected by Dec. 6; C — employee observed touching hamburger machine controls after touching hamburger, corrected.
