The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Oct. 28

Pizza Hut

Location: 1010 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C – three-compartment sink is directly connected to sewer system, needs to have air gap, to be corrected by Dec. 1; men’s restroom toilet is not flushing, also water at hand sink by cashier’s station has low water pressure and is not reaching 100 degrees, to be corrected by Nov. 1; NC – walk-in freezer door is not closing properly due to ice build-up on door, need to have temperature measuring device on pizza-making table, to be corrected by Dec. 1; NC – hand soap dispenser at hand sink by three-compartment sink is not working properly, to be corrected by Nov. 1; NC-R – repair opening/hole in ceiling above driver dispatch area, to be corrected by Nov. 1.

Location: 1331 N. Blue Road, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC – walk-in freezer door has ice build-up along edges, to be corrected by Nov. 28.
